| Dear customers,
Starting from February 1, 2024, significant changes will take effect in the sending policies for Gmail and Yahoo. In order not to impact the performance of your campaigns, it is crucial to be aware of these changes and adapt your account in MailPipe-Kosher Email to meet the new requirements. For detailed information, you can refer to the announcements from Gmail and Yahoo on this matter. Please note that our MailPipe-Kosher Email support team is available to assist you in making the necessary adjustments.
In summary, Gmail requires that the email address from which you send (your reply-to address) be authenticated. This means that Gmail wants to ensure that the server sending emails on your behalf (MailPipe-Kosher Email server) is indeed an authorized server for sending emails from your domain.
This change is relevant for those sending from a private domain. If you are sending from a public domain (such as Gmail, Yahoo...), you may not be able to make this change and likely won't be able to continue using this domain to send emails to Gmail mailboxes.
To meet the new requirements, you need to add DNS records in the domain management system of your sending address. For example, if you use the sending address firstname@example.com, you should add the records we provide in the domain management system of example.com.
We recommend that all senders verify where their domain is managed and how to add records or find out who in their organization can assist in adding the records. If you don't have a private domain, you can contact us, and we will try to assist you.
It is important to emphasize that these changes will affect all email service providers, not just MailPipe-Kosher Email. Therefore, if you plan to use any email provider for sending newsletters and marketing automation, it is recommended to prepare in advance for these changes, send through a private domain, and ensure proper authentication. | Here is a brief summary of the requirements:
- Sending from a private domain only: instead of using free addresses from public domains like @gmail.com.
Gmail will not allow the use of its domain for sending from mailing systems. If you use a Gmail reply-to address, you will need to switch to an address with your own domain.
- Domain verification with SPF, DMARC, and DKIM: Sender Policy Framework (SPF), Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC), and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) help email providers verify the sender's domain. Contact MailPipe-Kosher Email support to obtain DNS records and then pass them to your IT department to implement in the DNS server of your domain.
- One-click unsubscribe: The unsubscribe button should be prominent and accessible, and the unsubscribe process should be straightforward. Support Google's built-in Unsubscribe function. If you already use MailPipe-Kosher Email for sending, there's no need to worry—the system automatically handles unsubscribe requests.
- Spam report rate below 0.3%: Google requires senders not to exceed a 0.3% spam report threshold. Sufficient user reports on a specific sender as a spammer may lead to blocking. Spam data for the sending domain can be viewed through the Postmaster tool, providing information on the domain's rating in Gmail, its reputation, spam report quantity, and more.
| We strongly recommend preparing in advance for these changes and not waiting until the last moment to avoid email blocking in Gmail and Yahoo mailboxes.
